Becoming Movable is a two-day learning retreat—an extension and evolution of the work we do in class.

Most movement trainings teach you what to do. Becoming Movable teaches you why your body does it in the first place.

Over two full days, we go back to the beginning — to the six movement patterns that emerge in the first year of life and shape everything that follows. How you reach for what you want. How you hold on and let go. How you push back, pull in, surrender, and complete a cycle. These aren't fitness concepts. They're the architecture of being human.

We also explore the pelvic floor as the epicenter of movement, power, and sensation, and into rhythm and musicality as a body intelligence most of us were never taught to access.

You'll leave with a new language for your body and a deeper understanding of why you move the way you do, feel the way you feel, and relate to the world the way you relate to it.

For dedicated students and teachers alike. No prior experience required — only genuine curiosity.

If you love my class, this is the deeper, more collaborative version of that work

Becoming Movable is non-heated and combines lecture, group discussion, and movement-based practice throughout both days.

Mover’s Immersion (Weeks 1 + 2)

During the immersion, we explore:

  • The Six Foundational Movement Patterns

  • Embodied Anatomy + Pelvic Floor

  • Breath + Core Coordination

FAQ

Do I need to be an advanced practitioner?
No. This experience is designed to meet you where you are. You do not need to be highly flexible or advanced — just willing to engage and explore.

Will I be expected to speak, share, or participate in a certain way?

No.

This is not a program where you’ll be put on the spot or required to speak publicly or share personal experiences.

There will be moments of discussion and opportunities to share observations, but participation is always optional. You’re welcome to contribute, listen, or simply stay with your own experience.

While the work can be reflective at times, the focus is on noticing what’s happening in your body and your movement—not on processing or storytelling in front of others.

There’s no “right” way to engage here. Some people process out loud, others take things in more internally. Both are equally valid.

You’re in charge of how much you participate and what you share.

Is this a teacher training?
No. This is a learning intensive designed to deepen your personal practice and understanding. That said, many of the concepts we explore — such as sequencing, cueing, and class structure — will naturally support anyone who is interested in teaching or refining their current teaching.

What does a typical day look like?
Each day runs approximately 12:30 PM–6:30 PM and includes a mix of physical practice, lecture and discussion, anatomy exploration, and experiential integration. It will not feel like six straight hours of movement — the day is intentionally varied and paced.

Will there be breaks?
Yes. There will be short breaks throughout the day, including a 30min meal break

How many spots are available?
The group will be limited to 14 participants to keep the experience personal, interactive, and supportive.

Will this be offered again?
Yes! This is intended to become an ongoing offering, however, each learning retreat will include slightly different content than the last. future dates will be announced.

When is payment due?
Payment will be due prior to the start of the intensive.

What if I’m only able to attend one of the two sessions?
Because this experience is designed as a complete two-day progression, pricing reflects the full program rather than individual sessions.

If your schedule doesn’t allow for both days, it may be worth waiting for a future offering so you can experience it in its entirety.

Are sliding scale options available?

Yes. Becoming Movable is offered at a base rate of $650, with a sliding scale ranging from $550–$750 based on individual capacity. Those who are able to pay at the higher end directly support access for those who need to pay less — so every choice on the scale matters. If $550 still feels out of reach but you feel strongly called to this work, reach out to me directly and we'll have a private conversation about what's possible.

What is the refund policy?

All registrations for Becoming Movable are non-refundable.

If you’re unable to attend, your payment may be applied as a credit toward a future round of Becoming Movable or another Room to Move Project offering.

Credits must be used within 6 months of the original event date.

*Please note that credits are not transferable to another person.
